I chaired a productive meeting about the proposed Stourbridge to Brierley Hill VLR link at Dudley Council House. I brought together Pre Metro Operations Ltd , Transport for West Midlands, Black Country Transport, Dudley Council’s Head of Regeneration and CEO.

Everyone agrees it is a fantastic idea and it could bring enormous benefits to our area. With the recent announcements on devolution and amendments I supported to the Railways Bill for reopening of community lines, it feels that the stars could be aligning to make this happen!

We’re planning a further meeting later in the year to bring together more stakeholders and explore the possibilities of economic benefits, jobs and training opportunities with the Dasher.
