Cat Eccles MP hosted the event on Saturday, February 8 at the Brierley Hill Health and Social Care Centre.

The event was attended by residents of Brierley Hill and surrounding areas and was hosted alongside Helen Codd of the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust.

At the event, Ms Eccles outlined the Government’s Change NHS Plans and the role of the public consultation launched by Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Wes Streeting.

This consultation has been dubbed the “biggest ever conversation about the NHS”.

Residents were asked to fill in forms on what changes they would like to see to the NHS and what concerns they had.

These papers have then been fed into the public consultation, which will form part of the Government’s 10-year strategy to reform the system.

Cat Eccles MP and her team circulated the room and spoke to residents.

She said: “I am so pleased to have facilitated constituents to raise their ideas regarding the NHS and the changes that are needed, based on their direct experiences.

“I look forward to seeing how the government plans to implement some of the consistent ideas that were shared by my constituents and others along the country.”

Cat Eccles MP will be hosting further events of this nature throughout the year.
