It was great to catch up with the team from Pre Metro Operations Ltd to discuss their ambition to introduce a light rail service from Stourbridge up to Brierley Hill, something I’ve supported for many years.

I’m a huge fan of the Stourbridge Shuttle. I think it’s a really key feature of Stourbridge, and the next step is creating that link between Stourbridge and Brierley Hill, especially since securing the funding to extend the Metro to Brierley Hill. With this will come economic regeneration, new commuter and leisure journey choices and reduced congestion on busy Black Country roads.

I’ll continue to push for this to get the investment it needs so that people across Stourbridge, Brierley Hill and Netherton get the connectivity they deserve.
