Campaign win! Free bus travel 24/7 for disabled people

I have been campaigning to lift the restrictions on disabled bus passes to give people the ability to participate in employment and education, increase opportunities for people to live independently and increase social inclusion. Right now, on weekdays disabled bus passes are only guaranteed to work between 9.30am and 11pm.

From April 2027, that changes. Time restrictions on disabled bus passes will be lifted across the whole of England, backed by £60 million of government funding. For people across the Stourbridge, Brierley Hill and Netherton that means free travel, any time, every day – helping them get to work, education, healthcare appointments, and everyday life.
