It was fantastic to be at the relaunch of the Smart Energy Training in Stourbridge and find out about the training and apprenticeships on offer.

The centre offers training in traditional plumbing, heating, and electrics, alongside state of the art cleaner, greener technologies. The team can provide support to businesses to access apprenticeship funding and admin advice to make taking on an apprentice as easy as possible.

They are really keen to offer opportunities to young people to train and get into employment and are inviting installers and contractors to make a pledge to take on apprentices.

At the event I took on former World Champion Darts player Mark Webster and beat him in a 9 dart challenge! Turns out my younger years of playing darts in local pubs came in handy
