West Midlands Fire Service has today confirmed that two fires in Stourbridge were started accidentally, in fields where agricultural machinery was being used at the time. My thoughts remain with all the residents whose homes and lives have been affected by this devastating incident. The findings provide important clarity for our community and underline just how quickly fires can take hold in the extreme weather conditions we experienced.

I want to thank West Midlands Fire Service, Dudley Council, emergency responders, local charities, volunteers and neighbours who have come together to support those affected.
